I GOT A JOB!!!!!!

Thanks to Peter, the other personal banker that Robbie works with, I had an interview at the Riviera Resort on Thursday. It was only supposed to be a quick meeting with the assistant manager so Peter could introduce me and then we could set up an interview, but he ended up introducing me to the manager and doing my interview right there! He told me my application had to go through HR still but he also "unofficially" welcomed me to the hotel:)
I am soooooo excited to finally have a job and not be sitting around here at the apartment with nothing to do and no car to go anywhere. I have to admit I was kinda nervous going in to it because I've never really had a real interview for a job. I was proud of myself when it went so well:)
I got a call from HR yesterday and I have an interview with them on Wednesday, so wish me luck!
It will be so nice to finally have some extra income!!! Now we can save up for our Disneyland trip in October and hopefully be able to plan our honeymoon sometime soon!!!
ps..... Robbie and I have been married for almost 7 months.... I know, I know it's not a very long time but it's crazy how time flies.

I am LOVING life right now. I do miss my family of course, but I know moving to Cali was definitely the right decision for us. We love it here!!

New Recipe!!

Alright so I just tried a new recipe and I HAVE to share it with everyone because it is sooooo good!
Chocolate Cinnamon Scones..... trust me they are heavenly! and easy too!
here it is.....

2 1/2 cups flour
2/3 cup sugar
2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
2 teaspoons cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup (1 stick) cold butter, cut into chunks
2 eggs
3/4 cup sour cream (I used plain yogurt)
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
6 ounces semi-sweet chocolate chips

Preheat oven to 375.
Mix flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, baking soda and salt in large bowl.
Cut in butter with pastry blender or 2 knives until mixture resembles course crumbs.
Beat eggs, sour cream and vanilla in medium bowl with wire whisk until well blended.
Add to flour mixture; stir until a soft dough forms.
Stir in the chocolate chips.
Place dough on lightly floured surface.
Knead about 1 minutes or until smooth.
Place dough on greased baking sheet.
Pat into a 10-inch circle.
Bake 30 minutes or until golden brown.
Cool slightly on wire rack.
Melt and drizzle additional semi-sweet chocolate over scones, if desired. (I did... definitely recommended:)

And thats it!
Please enjoy and let me know what you think if you try it out!!
